Accura Engineering has achieved major recognition in latter half of 2025, securing top honours at two of the UK’s most prestigious business award programmes the Investors in People Awards and the Make UK Midlands & East Business Awards.
- Winner – Best Newcomer – Investors in People Awards
- Winner – Developing Future Talent – Make UK Midlands & East Awards
- Runner-Up – Health, Safety & Wellbeing – Make UK Midlands & East Awards
- Runner-Up – Business Growth & Strategy – Make UK Midlands & East Awards
These achievements mark a transformative year for Accura Engineering, reflecting the impact of a people-first strategy, continuous improvement, and a deep commitment to building a culture of excellence.
They also recognise the hard work, ambition, and values embedded by the team from creating new pathways for emerging talent to developing a stronger, safer, and more resilient organisation.
“This isn’t about trophies — it’s about transformation”
Just 12 months after achieving Investors in People accreditation, Accura Engineering has taken home the coveted Best Newcomer award in a global field of people-focused businesses.
“We always said this wasn’t about a certificate on the wall but was about building the frameworks that would transform how we support, develop and empower our people,” said Rebecca Smith, HR Director, who led the IIP journey.
That transformation has delivered clear cultural and operational impact helping Accura attract new talent, improve team performance, and reinforce the high standards expected by its OEM customers.
Recognising Our Commitment to Future Talent
At the Make UK Midlands & East Awards, Accura Engineering was named Winner in Developing Future Talent, recognising our investment in training, mentorship and long-term workforce development.
This builds on our continued investment in the Centre of Excellence, which serves as a hub for skills development and innovation in precision machining. By investing in apprenticeships, upskilling, and mentoring, Accura is helping shape the next generation of UK engineering talent.
We’re proud to now be shortlisted for the national Make UK Awards in January 2026.
A Safer, Smarter, Stronger Business
The team also secured runner-up honours in Health, Safety & Wellbeing and Business Growth & Strategy, a powerful reflection of the balanced, long-term approach now in place at Accura.
From strengthening internal processes and expanding digital capability to creating safer, more supportive working environments, these awards showcase the depth of progress achieved across every part of the business.
A Group-Wide Vision for People-First Performance
Accura Engineering’s success is part of a broader transformation strategy led by the Connexion Technologies group.
“At Connexion Technologies, people development isn’t a slogan — it’s a core pillar of how we build and transform businesses. The Investors in People framework aligns perfectly with the values we instil across our portfolio,” said Craig Wright, Chairman & CEO of Connexion Technologies.
What’s Next for Accura Engineering
With strong momentum behind the team, Accura Engineering is focused on scaling this success in 2026 and beyond. Plans include:
- Expanding Centre of Excellence capacity
- Enhancing employee development pathways
- Supporting long-term partnerships with strategic OEMs
- Driving further improvements in safety, quality and growth
